Michelle's background is in jewellery and object design with a focus on fusing digital technology with hand made techniques.

Michelle studied at Sydney College of the Arts, Sydney University and majored in jewellery and object design within the colleges metalwork studio and graduated with honours, in 2004. Michelle has participated in various group exhibitions and workshops including a very important masterclass workshop with the renowned German jeweller Otto Kunzli. Michelle then returned to university and completed a postgraduate diploma in education. After university Michelle spent the following years, teaching art and design, travelling and making. These factors have all inspired Michelle to be the designer she is today.

Michelle has now embarked in a second journey and is studying a Masters of Design at COFA, UNSW, where she has found a new interest for experimenting with a variety of materials and processes.
